This policy is designed to ensure fairness for both the student and the tutor, respecting the time commitment required for preparation and scheduling.

1. Refund Policy: Satisfaction Guarantee

We are committed to providing high-quality, personalized Dutch lessons. If you are not satisfied with a lesson, we offer the following refund policy:

A. First Lesson (Trial Lesson) Guarantee

If you have purchased a standard full-length lesson, or a specially priced trial lesson, and you are genuinely unsatisfied with the teaching quality or alignment with your goals:

  • Eligibility: This guarantee applies only to the first lesson you ever take with Jacqueline.
  • Procedure: You must notify us via email within 48 hours of the lesson time, clearly explaining the reason for your dissatisfaction.
  • Resolution: We will offer a full refund for the cost of that single lesson OR offer a free replacement lesson with the understanding that we will adjust the methodology.

B. Subsequent Lessons (Packages or Single Lessons)

For any lessons taken after the first introductory session:

  • Refund: Refunds are not provided for lessons already completed and attended.
  • Resolution: If you experience a technical issue or significant dissatisfaction, please contact us within 24 hours. We will review the matter and may offer a credit toward a future lesson at our sole discretion.

C. Unused Lesson Packages

If you purchase a block of lessons (e.g., 5-pack or 10-pack) and decide not to continue:

  • Eligibility: You may request a refund for unused lessons only.
  • Calculation: The refund will be calculated based on the price of the package, minus the value of the lessons already used, calculated at the higher single-lesson rate (not the package-discount rate).
    • Example: If a 10-pack costs € 250 (€ 25/lesson) but the single lesson rate is €30 and you used 3 lessons, your refund is: €250- (3 x €30) = €160.
  • Expiry: All purchased lesson packages expire [6 or 12] months from the date of purchase. No refunds will be issued for expired, unused lessons.

2. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Scheduling a lesson reserves a specific time slot that cannot be offered to another student. We require strict adherence to the following policy:

A. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Required Notice: Lessons must be cancelled or rescheduled via the online booking system with at least 24 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled start time.
  • Procedure: If proper notice is given, your lesson credit will be automatically returned to your account, or the payment will be available for a future booking.

B. Last-Minute Cancellations / No-Shows

  • Less than 24 hours’ Notice: Any cancellation or request to reschedule made less than 24 hours before the lesson start time will result in the forfeiture of the full lesson fee/credit. No refund will be provided.
  • Late Arrival: If the student is late, the lesson will still end at the original scheduled time, and the lesson fee will not be prorated or refunded. If a student is more than [10 minutes late, the lesson will be marked as a No-Show, and the full fee will be forfeited.

C. Tutor Cancellation

In the unlikely event that Jacqueline must cancel a lesson, you will be notified immediately, and you will receive a full refund or a full lesson credit to be applied to a future booking.
